Mango lovers across the UAE are in for a treat as the highly anticipated Sharjah Mango Festival returns for its fourth edition from June 27 to June 29 at Expo Khor Fakkan. The festival promises a vibrant showcase of premium mango varieties, all harvested fresh from local farms in the region.
As summer arrives, mangoes take center stage in households and markets throughout the Emirates. In cities like Dubai, it’s common to see residents make multiple visits to fruit stalls, eager to find the season’s sweetest and most aromatic mangoes. The fruit’s popularity has driven up demand, making it a must-have delicacy of the season.
Organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Mango Festival serves not just as a celebration of the region’s agricultural excellence, but also as a tribute to local farmers who play a vital role in enhancing Sharjah’s food security and farming output.
During a recent coordination meeting led by Khalil Al Mansouri, Director of Government Relations at the Sharjah Chamber, officials emphasized the need for collaboration between government entities and farmers to ensure the success of this year’s festival. Al Mansouri highlighted that the event is about more than just mangoes—it represents Sharjah’s commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture and empowering local growers.
This year’s festival will feature interactive workshops aimed at educating farmers about sustainable farming techniques and ways to boost both yield and quality. These workshops are designed to improve the market competitiveness of UAE-grown mangoes.
In addition, agricultural competitions will take place, encouraging farming excellence and the adoption of modern technologies. Local agricultural experts and farmers will also participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to support continuous growth within the sector.
