The UAE will introduce a cutting-edge, locally manufactured hybrid police vehicle by 2027. This high-tech unit will operate as a mobile command centre, featuring drone deployment capabilities and an innovative system to recharge electric vehicles (EVs) stranded on the road.

Developed by Eneron, a tactical mobility firm and a subsidiary of UAE-based Kenstongi, the new vehicle—named Magnus—is scheduled to launch between 2027 and 2028. It has been specifically engineered to meet the operational needs of Abu Dhabi Police.

Currently, Magnus is being showcased at the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ exhibition and conference, held at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi from May 11 to 22, 2025.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Waleed Alblooshi, Senior Manager for Corporate Communications at Eneron, revealed that the hybrid unit can travel up to 900 kilometres, significantly boosting urban safety and emergency response efficiency.

“There will be a driver and a command officer inside the vehicle,” Alblooshi explained. “The officer can launch drones from within the vehicle for real-time surveillance and site inspection. Essentially, it will function as a fully equipped mobile police station.”

Moreover, the Magnus vehicle is designed not only for law enforcement but also to address emerging urban challenges—such as the growing number of electric vehicles on UAE roads. In the event of a breakdown, the Magnus can recharge EVs on-site, minimizing delays and ensuring smoother traffic flow.

Thousands of companies from across the UAE are participating in the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ event, which highlights homegrown innovations aimed at transforming national industries. Eneron’s Magnus is one such innovation, demonstrating the country’s commitment to integrating advanced mobility, sustainability, and smart policing.

With its rollout expected by 2028, the Magnus hybrid police vehicle represents a bold step toward a more responsive and technologically empowered policing system in the UAE.
